Support Independent Arts Journalism in Boston

Scene in Boston is an independent arts journalism project exploring the people, ideas, and stories shaping theater across Greater Boston.

Through our podcast, newsletter, interviews, and special projects, we help audiences discover performances, understand the creative work behind them, and connect more deeply with the region’s cultural life. We also partner with students at Boston Arts Academy, giving young people hands-on experience in audio production, journalism, and storytelling.

This season, we created the first Scene in Boston guide to what’s onstage across Greater Boston. It brings hundreds of productions into one place while highlighting the connections, themes, and pathways that can help audiences find the shows that are right for them.

Supporters who contribute $50 or more will receive the complete digital guide as a PDF. Supporters who contribute $100 or more will receive the digital guide plus a professionally printed edition mailed to them.

Your contribution supports much more than the guide. It helps cover the reporting, recording, editing, student collaboration, publishing, and operational costs required to produce thoughtful, independent arts journalism for Greater Boston.

Scene in Boston is fiscally sponsored by The Tiny News Collective (EIN 85-3963369), a 501(c)(3) charitable organization.
